The closest thing to a Bloomberg screen at a retail price. Here is who gets their money’s worth.
Koyfin is worth it if you want professional-style dashboards, charting and global market data at a small fraction of terminal prices, and you can interpret that data yourself. As of September 2026, Plus costs $39 a month billed yearly or $49 month to month, with a limited free plan. Koyfin offers no judgement on whether a company is worth owning.
Disclosure: We make Stock Simplifier, a stock research tool that competes with Koyfin. Full disclosure
Great for: self-directed investors who want polished charts, custom dashboards, global fundamentals, macro data and portfolio tracking in one place, on the web and on their phone.
Skip it if: you want someone to judge whether a company is worth owning, or you do not yet know which metrics matter for the business in front of you. Koyfin gives you a beautiful cockpit and no flight plan.
Price to value: Plus at $468 a year is fair against professional terminals, but pricier than TIKR for similar core data.
Koyfin is a financial analytics platform that combines market research, advanced charting, custom dashboards and portfolio tracking. Koyfin describes financial advisors and wealth managers as its primary audience, and it is also widely used by self-directed investors. It says more than 500,000 investors and 50,000 advisors and wealth managers use it.
You can work in two ways. Look up a company and get a snapshot with key stats, financials, analyst estimates, price targets, news and transcripts. Or build your own dashboards that mix charts, watchlists and tables on one screen, the way a professional terminal user would. Market dashboards cover indices, bonds, currencies, commodities, crypto and economic data.
Koyfin says its global equity fundamentals, consensus estimates and valuation data come from S&P Capital IQ, its fund data from Morningstar, and its economic data from sources including FRED and Trading Economics. It runs in a browser and has iOS and Android apps.
Koyfin has three plans for individual investors and two for financial advisors. Annual billing saves up to 30%. Prices below are as of September 2026.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Month to month | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 2 years of financials and 1 year of estimates, 2 watchlists, 2 screens, 2 custom dashboards, limited company snapshots and news, advanced charting, macro dashboards |
| Plus | $39/mo ($468/yr) | $49/mo | 10 years of financials and estimates, unlimited watchlists, screens and dashboards, stock and ETF screener, ETF holdings, 100K+ global company snapshots, filings, transcripts and premium news |
| Premium | $79/mo ($948/yr) | $110/mo | Everything in Plus, plus advanced portfolio analytics, unlimited custom data and formulas, custom financial templates, ETF valuation |
| Advisor Core | $209/mo | $239/mo | Model and client portfolios, client reports, a custodian integration, mutual fund data and screener |
| Advisor Pro | $299/mo | $349/mo | Everything in Advisor Core with more reports, custom report pages and multiple integrations |
Koyfin offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee: ask within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Its help center also says new sign-ups get a 7-day trial of all features before dropping to the free plan. Most individual investors only need Free or Plus; the advisor plans are built for client reporting.
The best-looking data in the category. Charts and dashboards are fast, clean and flexible. You can put a company's revenue growth, P/E history and analyst targets on one screen next to the 10-year Treasury yield in a few clicks.
Professional data at retail prices. S&P Capital IQ fundamentals and estimates are what many institutions use. Koyfin's own comparison puts its $299 top plan against the $5,000 to $30,000 a year per seat that Bloomberg and FactSet charge.
Macro data next to company research. Bonds, yield curves, currencies, commodities and economic data sit alongside company research, which makes Koyfin good for investors who like to see the bigger picture.
A real mobile app. The iOS and Android apps cover watchlists, portfolio tracking, news, estimates, transcripts and alerts, synced with the web version.
A fair refund policy. A 30-day, full-refund guarantee lowers the risk of trying a paid plan.
It makes no judgements. Koyfin will chart ten years of margins beautifully and tell you nothing about whether the company has an economic moat, whether management is allocating capital well, or what the current price implies about future growth. The analysis is entirely yours.
Power comes with setup. Dashboards and templates are where Koyfin shines, and they take time to build. They also assume you already know which metrics matter for this company at this stage of its lifecycle.
The free plan is tight. Two watchlists, two screens, two dashboards and two years of financials is enough to test the interface, but not enough to research seriously.
Priced above TIKR. Both use S&P Capital IQ fundamentals. Koyfin Plus at $468 a year costs about twice TIKR Plus, so you are paying mainly for Koyfin's charting, dashboards and portfolio tools.
Built first for advisors. Koyfin names financial advisors as its primary audience, and much of its feature list now covers client portfolios, proposals and custodian integrations. Individual investors do not pay for those features on Plus or Premium, but they are not the main customer.

| Free tier | Real charting and macro dashboards, but only two of most things. | 3/5 |
| Overall | A beautifully designed retail terminal for investors who bring their own framework. | 4.0/5 |
Use Koyfin if you think visually, like to track markets and macro alongside individual companies, want a solid portfolio tracker, and already have a process for evaluating a business. It is also a good fit if you want the same setup on your desk and your phone.
Skip Koyfin if you are still learning what to look for in a company, you want a view on whether a stock is worth owning, or you only need financial statements and estimates at the lowest price. In that last case TIKR Plus costs less.
Koyfin vs TIKR. Both are retail terminals using S&P Capital IQ data. Koyfin wins on charting, dashboards, macro and mobile. TIKR is cheaper and stronger on fund holdings. See Koyfin vs TIKR and our TIKR review.

Koyfin vs TradingView. TradingView is best known for charting and technical analysis. Koyfin leans toward fundamentals, estimates and portfolio analysis. See TradingView vs Koyfin.
Koyfin vs GuruFocus. GuruFocus adds GF Value, guru tracking and 30-year histories at a higher price. See our GuruFocus review.
Koyfin vs Stock Simplifier. Koyfin shows you the data in the most flexible way possible and leaves the conclusions to you. Stock Simplifier guides the analysis of a single company: it walks you through the business model, lifecycle phase, moat, management, growth, risk and valuation, fills in real Fiscal.ai data and explains why each number matters, and you score it and decide. Koyfin is the better choice for charting, macro data, portfolio tracking and global coverage; Stock Simplifier has no portfolio tracker and covers 10,000+ global stocks. It has a free plan with no card, and paid plans start at $199 a year.

Koyfin is one of the best-designed data terminals an individual investor can buy, and the refund guarantee makes it low-risk to try. It is a superb place to look at a company, a portfolio or the whole market. It does not tell you what you are looking at. If you already know how to analyze a stock, Koyfin will make that work faster and more enjoyable. If you do not yet, learn the framework first and add the terminal later.
