Fiscal.ai is a research terminal and financial data platform. It gives you standardized financials, company-specific segment and KPI data, earnings transcripts, estimates and fund letters, with fundamentals updated within minutes of earnings. You do the analysis.
Stock Simplifier is guided analysis built on Fiscal.ai's data. It walks you through the business model, lifecycle phase, moat, management, growth, risk and valuation, writes the analysis in plain language, and you score it.
These two are complementary. Fiscal.ai is our second-favorite research tool, after our own, and it is the data provider we chose to power Stock Simplifier. The rest of this page covers who should use each one alone and who gets the most from both.
What is Fiscal.ai?
Fiscal.ai is a web-based research terminal for fundamental investors, plus a data API and an MCP connection that feeds its data into AI assistants. You may know it by its earlier names, Stratosphere and FinChat.
Fiscal.ai says it covers more than 100,000 public companies, ETFs and funds. For about 13,000 companies in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe, plus ADRs, it uses its own data, which is where it is fastest. Other markets come from S&P Capital IQ. Beyond individual investors, other platforms license its data: Fiscal.ai says it powers the Financials tab in Perplexity.
Fiscal.ai has two plans for its Terminal and no free plan, as of September 2026:
- Pro ($49/month, or $39/month billed yearly, $468/year) - 15 years and 20 quarters of financials, 10 years of KPIs, 10 dashboards, the latest 10 earnings events, estimates, adjusted figures and Morningstar equity research reports.
- Max ($99/month, or $79/month billed yearly, $948/year) - everything in Pro with 20+ years and 40+ quarters of financials, full KPI history, unlimited dashboards, as-reported financials, click-through to the source filing, and financial data export.
New sign-ups get a 7-day trial, which needs a credit card. Try Fiscal.ai (this is our sponsored link).
What Fiscal.ai does well
- Segment and KPI data. This is its standout. For roughly 2,300+ companies, Fiscal.ai tracks company-specific operating segments, geographies and core KPIs, like AWS revenue at Amazon or same-store sales at Home Depot and Lowe's, and charts them over long histories. Few tools at this price go this deep on the numbers that actually drive a business.
- Fast, standardized fundamentals. For US, Canadian, UK, European and ADR companies, Fiscal.ai says fundamentals are typically updated 3 to 7 minutes after earnings are reported. Statements are standardized, so a margin means the same thing from one company to the next.
- Long history you can audit. Max carries 20+ years and 40+ quarters of financials, and lets you click through a number to the filing it came from. Fiscal.ai also added in-app data correction requests in 2026.
- Everything around the numbers. Earnings call transcripts, slides and investor relations documents with an audio player, keyword search across documents, estimates with beats and misses, insider and 13F institutional ownership for US companies, and a library of about 30,000 fund letters.
- AI that works on real documents. AI summaries of filings, transcripts and Morningstar reports come with citations, and you can generate AI company reports and save your own prompt templates. Fiscal.ai also has an official Claude connector and a ChatGPT app, so an AI assistant can query its data directly (priced separately, see below).
- Modeling, screening and charting. A modeling tab with DCF, IRR, reverse DCF and comparables templates pre-loaded with data. A screener that exports to XLSX or CSV. Fundamental charts you can compare across companies and export as images. Portfolio dashboards with brokerage sync.
- Morningstar research included. Pro and Max include Morningstar equity research reports in a Research tab, which saves a separate subscription for many investors.
Where Fiscal.ai falls short
- The best parts are on Max. Financial data export, click-through to source filings, as-reported statements and the full KPI history all need Max at $948 a year. Pro caps KPI history at 10 years and 15 quarters and has no financial data export.
- Chatting with the data costs extra. The built-in AI features are summaries, company reports and saved prompts. If you want to ask questions in a chat window, Fiscal.ai's route is its MCP connection to Claude or ChatGPT, which is a separate subscription ($780 a year when we checked).
- Prices are delayed. Quotes are 15 minutes delayed for companies on Fiscal.ai's own data and end-of-day for other markets. Traders who need live quotes will want something else.
- Two tiers of coverage. The fast, first-party data covers about 13,000 companies. Everything else comes from S&P Capital IQ and updates 24 to 48 hours after earnings.
- No native mobile app. The website works on a phone, but there is no iOS or Android app. There is no Excel add-in either.
- No free plan, and strict trial terms. The only way to try it is a 7-day trial, which needs a card and converts to a paid plan unless you cancel. Monthly plans are non-refundable. Annual plans can be refunded within 30 days of purchase or renewal.
- You bring the judgement. Fiscal.ai hands you excellent data and leaves the interpretation to you. If you do not yet know why a falling gross margin or rising stock-based compensation matters, the platform assumes you will work it out.
- Light on trading tools. Technical indicators arrived in May 2026 and are basic, and price alerts only fire for stocks that move more than 5% in a day.

Bottom line on Fiscal.ai
Fiscal.ai is our second-favorite research tool, after Stock Simplifier, and we rate it 5 out of 5. The segment and KPI data is the best we know of at a retail price, the fundamentals land within minutes of earnings, and the transcripts, fund letters and modeling templates make it a complete home base for an investor who already has a process. The honest caveats are that the deepest features sit on the $948-a-year Max plan, the AI chat route costs extra, and it leaves the judgement to you. If you know how to analyze a business and want better raw material to do it, Fiscal.ai is excellent.

Why we chose Fiscal.ai to power Stock Simplifier
Every number in Stock Simplifier has to come from somewhere, and an AI tool is only as trustworthy as the data under it. When we picked a data provider, we picked Fiscal.ai. The reasons are ones you can check for yourself:
- Standardized financials. Statements are put on a consistent basis, so the wizard can compare a company's margins and cash flow across years and against other companies.
- Segment and KPI data on roughly 2,300+ companies. Revenue by segment and geography is part of how Stock Simplifier explains a business model.
- Fundamentals updated within minutes of earnings on its own-data coverage of US, Canadian, UK, European and ADR companies.
- Long history. 20+ years and 40+ quarters of financials, which lets us show a company across full business cycles.
- An API. Fiscal.ai sells its data as a feed for other platforms, which is how the numbers reach every step of our wizard.
So when you open a stock in Stock Simplifier, the financials underneath come from Fiscal.ai. What Stock Simplifier adds is the framework, the written analysis and your own scoring on top.
What is Stock Simplifier?
Stock Simplifier is an AI-powered stock research platform built for long-term investors. Instead of handing you raw financial data and expecting you to build your own analysis, Stock Simplifier's Research Wizard analyzes any stock it covers and delivers a complete written breakdown in about 60 seconds.
The framework was built by studying the patterns of the world's greatest investors, including Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, Terry Smith, and many others, then synthesizing them into a simple, repeatable workflow. It covers business model, competitive advantages (moats), management quality, financial health, valuation, risks, and what phase of the business lifecycle the company is in.
Fiscal.ai supplies the ingredients. Stock Simplifier follows the recipe with you, one step at a time, and you decide what the finished analysis says.
What Stock Simplifier does well
- Build real conviction. Stock Simplifier walks you through the business model, the moat and its direction, the management quality, the valuation, and the risks in plain language. That's the kind of understanding that lets you hold through a 30% drawdown instead of panic-selling because a number on a screen moved.
- Hours of research in minutes. A full analysis that would take 2-4 hours of manual research, even with Fiscal.ai open in another tab, takes about 60 seconds. The AI pulls the data, builds the charts, and writes the narrative. You review it, score it, and add your own notes.
- Hold through volatility. When the market drops, Stock Simplifier gives you the context to judge whether the drop changes your thesis. The moat assessment, management evaluation, and business lifecycle analysis help you tell a temporary setback from a fundamental deterioration.
- Learn the framework as you use it. The Wizard teaches you the framework as you walk through each analysis. Click any info icon to understand a metric instantly. A data terminal assumes you already know what to do with the numbers. Stock Simplifier teaches you as you go.
- Phase-aware analysis. The Wizard identifies where a company sits in its business lifecycle and adjusts the analysis accordingly. A high-growth software company and a mature dividend payer get evaluated with different criteria.
- No learning curve. Type a ticker, get a complete analysis. You don't need to know how to read a balance sheet, build a DCF model, or interpret financial ratios before you start. Education is built into every step.
- A full valuation suite. Stock Simplifier runs several valuation methods for you: trailing multiples on every plan, and on Pro a TAM valuation, a forward DCF, and a reverse DCF that shows what growth today's price already implies. You see a range of outcomes and the assumptions behind each one.
- Real financials, made readable. A financials module with 5 years of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow on the free plan and 20 years on Standard and Pro, a "Simplify" view that curates the metrics that matter, segment and geography breakdowns, currency-aware formatting, and charts you can export as images.
- A complete toolkit around the thesis. A plain-English Technical Snapshot, a transparent 0-5 Dividend Safety Score, plain-English watch flags per stock, price alerts on any stock, a Discover screener that can filter by AI traits like moat, risk and phase, and a printable one-page overview.
Where Stock Simplifier falls short
- Narrower coverage. Stock Simplifier covers 10,000+ global stocks across the US, Canada and Europe. Fiscal.ai covers more than 100,000 companies, ETFs and funds. Australia, India and Japan are on our list but not live yet.
- No transcripts, filings or fund letters. If you want to read the earnings call, search every filing for a phrase, or see what a fund manager wrote to investors, Fiscal.ai is the tool for that.
- Less depth for KPI work. Stock Simplifier shows segment and geography breakdowns. Fiscal.ai goes further, charting company-specific KPIs over long histories and across competitors.
- No AI assistant connector. Fiscal.ai can plug its data into Claude or ChatGPT through MCP. Stock Simplifier's AI lives inside the app.
- No stock picks. By design, Stock Simplifier helps you reach your own conclusion. If you want someone to tell you what to buy, look elsewhere.

Which one should you pick?
Use Fiscal.ai on its own if:
- You already know how to read financial statements and have your own process for judging a business
- You want company-specific KPIs and segment data over long histories, and want to compare them across competitors
- You read earnings call transcripts, filings and fund letters as part of your research
- You build your own DCF or comparables models and want the data pre-loaded (and exported, on Max)
- You want to connect clean financial data to Claude or ChatGPT
- You research companies outside the US, Canada and Europe
Use Stock Simplifier on its own if:
- You want to understand what you own, with a written analysis you can read in minutes
- You are a beginner, intermediate or part-time investor and want a framework that meets you where you are
- You want analysis that adjusts to each stock's lifecycle phase
- You want to score each part of the thesis yourself and save it to a Buy, Watch, Pass dashboard
- You want Fiscal.ai-quality financials at a lower price, with a free plan that needs no card
Use both if:
- You want Stock Simplifier to build the thesis, then Fiscal.ai to dig into the one KPI, transcript or segment that decides it
- You already use Fiscal.ai every day and want a repeatable checklist that makes sure you never skip the moat, management or valuation step
- You follow a small number of companies closely and want both the written case and the raw evidence behind it
They are separate subscriptions. A Stock Simplifier plan does not include a Fiscal.ai account, and a Fiscal.ai plan does not include Stock Simplifier.
How they fit together
Fiscal.ai gives you the data. Stock Simplifier helps you decide what it means.
Fiscal.ai is one of the best data platforms an individual investor can buy. The KPI data, the speed after earnings and the depth of transcripts and filings make it a superb tool for investors who already have the skills to interpret it. That is why we built Stock Simplifier on it.
Most individual investors don't have a full analytical framework yet, and they shouldn't need one to get started. Stock Simplifier takes Fiscal.ai's data, runs it through a framework built on decades of investing wisdom, and delivers a complete analysis in plain language that you score yourself. You don't need to know what ROIC means to judge whether a company has a durable competitive advantage. The Wizard explains it as you go.
A sensible path is to start with Stock Simplifier and add Fiscal.ai once you want to go deeper. We are happy to recommend both.
