The data terminal we chose to power Stock Simplifier. What you get, what it costs and where it falls short.
Yes, Fiscal.ai is worth it if you research companies yourself and want accurate, standardized financials plus the segment and KPI data most retail tools lack. As of September 2026, Pro costs $39 a month billed yearly ($468) or $49 month to month. It is a data terminal, so judging the business is still your job.
Disclosure: Stock Simplifier is built on Fiscal.ai data, which we pay for, and we earn a commission if you sign up through our links. Full disclosure
Great for: investors who do their own research and want standardized financials, segment and KPI history, transcripts and estimates in one fast place. It is our second-favorite research tool, after our own, and the data we chose to build Stock Simplifier on.
Skip it if: you want someone to tell you what to buy, you need real-time quotes or a native phone app, or you want to ask an AI assistant questions about the data without an add-on: that works through Fiscal.ai's MCP connection, which is priced separately.
Price to value: Pro at $468 a year is fair for the depth of data. Data export and click-through audit to the source filing need Max at $948 a year.
Try Fiscal.ai (7-day trial, card required)
Fiscal.ai is a web-based research terminal for fundamental investors. It sells three products: the Terminal most individual investors use, a data-feed API for companies, and an MCP connection that feeds its data into AI assistants.
The workflow is familiar. Type a ticker and you land on a company page with tabs for the overview, financials, ratios, segments and KPIs, investor relations documents, research, estimates, news, ownership, industry, modeling, dividends and filings. Around that sit a dashboard, fundamental charting, a screener, a keyword search across company documents, an earnings calendar, fund letters and super investor holdings.
The data comes from two places. For US, Canadian, UK and EU companies and ADRs, more than 13,000 in all, Fiscal.ai uses its own data and says fundamentals are typically updated 3 to 7 minutes after a company reports. Other markets come from S&P Capital IQ and update within 24 to 48 hours. In total it covers more than 100,000 companies, ETFs and funds. Fiscal.ai also says it supplies the data behind the Financials tab in Perplexity.
There is no native iOS or Android app. The website works on a phone, but it is built for a desktop screen.
The Terminal has two plans and no free plan. Prices below are as of September 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $49 | $39/mo ($468/yr) | 15 years and 20 quarters of financials, 10 years and 15 quarters of segments and KPIs, 10 dashboards, the latest 10 earnings events, 2 years of estimates, adjusted figures, Morningstar equity research |
| Max | $99 | $79/mo ($948/yr) | Everything in Pro, plus 20+ years and 40+ quarters of financials, full KPI history, unlimited dashboards, 30+ earnings events, 3 years of estimates, as-reported financials, audit to the source filing and financial data export |
New users get a 7-day trial after adding a credit card, and it converts to a paid plan unless you cancel. Annual plans can be refunded within 30 days of purchase or renewal. Monthly plans cannot be refunded, and neither can self-serve API or MCP subscriptions. The MCP connection is priced separately from the Terminal.
One caution. Older reviews around the web quote $24 and $64 plans; the Plus tier was removed in October 2025, and those prices are out of date.
Segment and KPI data that sets the standard. Standard financial statements tell you a company grew. Segments and KPIs tell you where: which division, which region, which operating metric. That is the data you need to check whether a thesis is playing out. Other tools notice. On Koyfin's public feature request board, segments and KPI data has been a planned request since 2021.
Fast, clean fundamentals. For its own-data coverage, numbers typically land within minutes of an earnings release, already standardized so companies line up side by side. On Max you can click a figure through to the filing it came from, which makes checking a number against the 10-K quick.
Everything about one company in one place. Ten-plus years of statements, the KPIs, what management said on the last call, the slides, consensus estimates, who owns the stock and Morningstar's research sit a click apart. That saves real time before and after earnings.
Modeling that starts from real numbers. The DCF and reverse DCF templates come pre-loaded, so testing what a price implies takes minutes rather than an evening in a spreadsheet. See discounted cash flow if the method is new to you.
It plugs into the AI tools you already use. An official Claude connector and a ChatGPT app let an assistant pull Fiscal.ai data instead of guessing numbers from the web.
Pro is priced like its peers with more inside. Pro's $468 a year matches Koyfin Plus, and it includes segment and KPI data plus Morningstar research reports.
The best parts are on Max. Financial data export, click-through audit to filings, as-reported statements, full KPI history and 30+ earnings events all need Max at $948 a year. Pro exports dashboard tables only.
AI chat lives outside the Terminal. Many reviews still describe an AI Copilot, but when we checked in September 2026 the Terminal had no chat section. Built-in AI is now summaries, reports and prompt templates. If you want to ask questions in plain English, you need the separate MCP subscription, $780 a year when we checked, plus an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT.
No free plan, and the trial terms need attention. The 7-day trial is the only way to try it before paying, and it needs a card and converts automatically. Monthly plans are non-refundable, and a few 2025 Trustpilot reviews complain about cancelling. Set a reminder before the trial ends.
Prices have gone up. The cheaper Plus tier was removed in October 2025, and one Trustpilot reviewer reported a renewal rising from about $252 to about $340.
Two tiers of coverage. The fast, first-party data covers about 13,000 US, Canadian, UK, EU and ADR companies. Everything else comes from S&P Capital IQ and updates a day or two after results. Fiscal.ai also notes that 20 years of data is not available in dashboards because of licensing.
Not built for traders. Stock prices are 15-minute delayed for its own-data companies and end-of-day elsewhere. Technical indicators arrived only in May 2026, price alerts only cover stocks moving more than 5% in a day, and there is no native mobile app or Excel add-in.
It gives you evidence, not a framework. Fiscal.ai will show you a decade of KPIs, but it will not tell you whether the company has an economic moat or which numbers matter at its stage of the lifecycle. That part is yours.
| Data depth | Standardized financials up to 20+ years, plus KPIs, transcripts, estimates, ownership and fund letters. | 5/5 |
| Segment and KPI data | The retail reference point, on 2,300+ of the largest companies with full history on Max. | 5/5 |
| Ease of use | Clean and fast. The number of tabs and tools takes an afternoon to learn. | 4.5/5 |
| Value for money | Pro is fair for what it holds, though there is no free plan and export and audit features sit on the $948 Max plan. | 4.5/5 |
| Helps you build your own conviction | KPI history, transcripts and modeling let you test a thesis against what the company reports. The conclusion stays yours. | 4.5/5 |
| Coverage | 100,000+ companies, ETFs and funds, with the fastest data on 13,000+ in the US, Canada, UK, EU and ADRs. | 4.5/5 |
| Overall | The best fundamental data terminal an individual investor can buy, and the one we chose to build on. | 5/5 |
Use Fiscal.ai if you own individual companies and want to follow them closely: read the numbers the day they report, track the KPIs that drive the business, check transcripts and model what the price implies. It is also a strong fit if you use Claude or ChatGPT for research and want those assistants working from real financial data.
Skip Fiscal.ai if you want a free plan, you want stock picks or ratings, you trade on charts and need real-time quotes, you want to do most of your research on a phone, or you are still learning what the numbers mean and would rather be walked through a company step by step.
Stock Simplifier fills every step of its analysis with Fiscal.ai data. We picked it for reasons you can check on Fiscal.ai's own pages:
That makes the two products complementary. Fiscal.ai is the terminal for investors who want the raw data and their own workspace. Stock Simplifier takes the same data and turns it into a guided analysis of one company, so you can reach your own conclusion.
Fiscal.ai vs TIKR. TIKR runs on S&P Capital IQ data across 100,000+ stocks in 92 countries, with up to 30 years of financials on its top plan, and its Plus plan costs about $215 a year. Fiscal.ai costs more but brings its own fast-updating data for US, Canadian, UK, EU and ADR companies, segment and KPI data, and an MCP connection. See Fiscal.ai vs TIKR and our TIKR review.
Fiscal.ai vs Koyfin. The headline prices match: $39 and $79 a month billed yearly. Koyfin wins on macro data, portfolio dashboards, alerts and native mobile apps. Fiscal.ai wins on segment and KPI data, which Koyfin still lists as a planned feature. See Fiscal.ai vs Koyfin and our Koyfin review.
Fiscal.ai vs Seeking Alpha. Seeking Alpha Premium, at $299 a year, sells opinions: contributor articles, Quant Ratings and an AI assistant. Fiscal.ai has no ratings or articles; it is a data terminal. Pick based on whether you want views or evidence. See our Seeking Alpha review.
Fiscal.ai vs Morningstar. Morningstar Investor, at $249 a year, gives you analyst fair values and star and moat ratings. Fiscal.ai Pro includes Morningstar equity research reports alongside much deeper KPI data and charting. See our Morningstar review.
Fiscal.ai vs Stock Simplifier. These work together. Fiscal.ai is the data terminal. Fiscal.ai is the best fundamental data terminal an individual investor can buy, and it is the data we chose to build Stock Simplifier on. Pro covers what most long-term investors need, the segment and KPI data is the best in retail, and the numbers arrive fast. Know the trade-offs before you pay: there is no free plan, the export and audit tools sit on Max, AI chat means a separate MCP subscription, and the trial needs a card. If you already know how to analyze a stock, it will make that work faster and better informed. Try Fiscal.ai with the 7-day trial.
